So, we’ve seen the first couple of audition shows now, and we here at American Idol Fan have to say we’ve enjoyed what we’ve seen so far!



There’s been the usual share of crazy auditionees (that Egyption guy anyone? ;-P ), but also some very very promising singers in there as well.
One of the standouts has to be 23 year-old Kristy Lee Cook, who alledgedly sold her favorite horse to attend the Philadelphia Auditions. The singer really impressed judges and fans, but then the rumors started coming out.


It turns out that Ms. Cook was signed to Arista Nashville records, and was once set to release material through Britney Spears’ production company (Britney was even going to appear in one of her videos!).


Other ‘undiscovered’ talent from this series so far includes Jermaine Paul who has already been nominated for a Grammy award in the past (!), and Carly Hennessy, who has even released her own solo record, Ultimate High.
