Lauren Alaina, the 15-year old from Georgia, seems to have come out as a favourite to win American Idol this year after last nights auditions in Nashville.
Her emotional performance was dedicated to her cousin Holly, a cancer survivor, who joined her for support at the audition.
The 15-year-old blew the judges away with her stunning performance of Faith Hill’s Like ‘We Never Loved At All’, with Jennifer Lopez dissolving into tears afterwards. She then did a rendition with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith ‘Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’.
Already she is being compared to country singer Carrie Underwood.
Lauren’s great, she looks and acts like a 15-year old, which is quite refreshing considering alot of the teens ntering this year look well into their 20′s, but when she sings, Lord does she sing, she changes from a 15-year old girl to an angel.
