Series 5 of Fox’s amazing TV talent contest, American Idol is due to begin with a spectacular 4 hour long special, shown over two nights on January 15th and January 16th 2008. 

The show that has brought us talents such as Clay Aiken, Taylor Hicks and of course last year’s winner the incredible Jordin Sparks is back with a whole new series of auditions attempting to find the freshest most exciting unsigned singing talent in the United States.

American Idol Fan will be with you all the way, bringing you all of the news, photos, gossip and our own expert (!) and completely biased opinions (we wouldn’t be true fans if we didn’t love some contestants and hate others!).
