We’re on the final countdown for the start of the new season – American Idol 2011, and it looks like we’re set for a whole new show.
America’s number 1 show has had a radical make over. Not only is there a whole new line-up of judges, Jennifer and Steven replacing Ellen and Simon, but a whole new look to the show. Of the new additions to the judging panel, veteran in the hot chair Randy Jackson said: “”I think they’ve really added a different kind of zest and a freshness to it. You take what was already great and you just kind of add a little extra spice to it.”
This year’s show will have faster elimination process, will abolish gender parity among finalists, and a plan to release music to the public during the course of the show has been suggested.
Other changes include a snazzy new set, a new air date, a new band leader and even an in-house mentor: Jimmy Iovine, the chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records (the new label for “Idol” winners) will help the contestants fine-tune their arrangements.
I cannot wait to see these changes!
