Audions #3 episode was something unique and different. This episode took place in San Diego, on the deck of an aircraft carrier! I don’t know, maybe the judges wanted to breathe more fresh air while they listen to auditions, but it surely was not the best idea they had. They themselves and contestants were quite often distracted and interrupted by passing by boats and flying planes.
First contestant I would like to mention about is Jane Carrey, Jim Carrey’s daughter. She has a very beautiful voice, but in someway I agree with the judges – she needs to work on her public performance skills. All three judges said “YES!” and we will see more of her in Hollywood.
Ashley Robles also is very talented. She is a single mom from San Diego who used to work at 5 daily jobs to support her children. Her audition song of choice was Whithney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. Steven even complimented her, by saying that she “is going to be big”! No wonder she made it to the Hollywood round.
Kyle Crews was up next. He is definitely a ladies man and performed a Monica’s “Angel of Mine”, which he dedicated to Jennifer Lopez. Some people might think he acted as a toady, but isn’t it the thing with all contestants? All three judges said “YES!” and he got the golden ticket!
I Liked this audition day more than the first one and I’m starting to feel that Season 11 will be a blast. Wednesday’s auditions will move to Aspen, CO. Stay tuned for more updates and news.
